“Children with Experiments” for April 23rd (Turkish National Sovereignty and Children’s Day)

“Children with Experiments” Project for April 23rd (Turkish National Sovereignty and Children’s Day)

As Ocean Brand, we left our laboratories to Children with Experiments on 23 April (Turkish National Sovereignty and Children’s Day)!

As Ocean Brand, the leading company in the national dietary supplement industry, we opened the doors of our Nuvita Biosearch Center (NBC) R&D Centre to little science enthusiasts on April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day by presenting the “Children with Experiments” project.

April 23rd holds special significance in Türkiye as National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. This unique holiday commemorates the founding of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in 1920. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Türkiye, dedicated this day to children, symbolizing the nation’s hopes for a brighter, more prosperous future.

With “Children with Experiments” project, we aimed to create awareness of scientific experience in children through experiments, to instil the motive of discovery, to explore scientific concepts through experimental journeys, to create an environment for sharing experiences, to discuss and evaluate scientific discoveries.

Alev Uludağ, Ocean Brand Marketing Manager shared details about the project, “We aim to contribute to the future of our country by bringing children, who are our future, together with science and technology in the reality of “As the twig is bent, so grows the tree.”. Although experience is a competence gained over time as age progresses, we wanted to emphasise that our children gain experience by conducting experiments while giving this name to our project. By hosting our children in our advanced R&D centres and special areas in our facilities, we provided to both explore the work here and increase their awareness of science. We want to meet with more children every 23rd April.”

Within the scope of the project, we conducted guiding studies under the supervision of experts to help primary school, secondary school, high school and university students gain scientific experience and conducted non-hazardous experiments in the laboratories of Nuvita Pharmaceuticals, one of the group companies.

In the following processes of the Children with Experiments Project, we will carry out studies in the chemistry laboratories of universities in different regions of Turkey to introduce children aged 8-14 to scientific experiments. In the coming years, we aim to expand the project by receiving online applications and to add successful students to the human resources pool.
