As Ocean Brand, we created awareness with the #InspireandEmpower Project on 8 March International Women’s Day!
As Ocean Brand, the leading company in the OTC sector operating under Alyors Group for 20 years, we present the #InspireandEmpower project on 8 March International Women’s Day to create synergy and awareness among women
Within the scope of the project, women leading the sector shared the difficulties of being a woman in their professions, the women they had inspiration during their own development and their messages to empower women. We conducted video interviews with Alyors Group Marketing Director Müge Turan, Pharmacist Şule Dilek Yağcı, President of Pharmetic Entrepreneur Pharmacists Association, Pharmacist, Optician, Esthetician Neylan Zırhlıoğlu, Photographer Betül Çetin, Complementary Medicine Physician and Obstetrician Assoc. Dr. Pınar Yalçın Bahat, Specialist Dietician Ecem Serim, Ocean Brand Regional Manager Hülya Kısaoğlu.
Alyors Holding Marketing Director, Müge Turan: “Women who challenge, is a source of inspiration!”
Stating that Ocean Brand has an important culture in promoting gender equality and supporting the emergence of women leaders, Müge Turan said, “This approach allows women in our team to be empowered in business life and take more leadership roles. This strengthens our culture of cooperation and solidarity. Therefore, we become even stronger by combining the advantages of being a woman with the supportive and inclusive environment of our organisation.” Stating that every woman who challenge can be a source of inspiration for her, Müge Turan gave the following messages for women: “We should always set our goals and believe in ourselves, be open to learning and development. We should be responsive to other women, people, nature, animals and perhaps most importantly, we should take time for ourselves and take good care of ourselves.”
“Women should not be seen only as a wife or mother”
Highlighting that being a woman in business life is a general challenge not only in our country but all over the world, Pharmacist Şule Dilek Yağcı, President of Pharmetic Entrepreneur Pharmacists Association, said: “Women should not be seen only as a wife or mother. I wish that women can be individuals who know what they want, who are resourced with the education and knowledge to realise their dreams and who have that power within them. If a woman wants, she can do it.”
Pharmacist Neylan Zırhlıoğlu, who mentioned that being a woman can be very difficult everywhere, emphasised that the only way to overcome these difficulties is women’s solidarity and shared her wish for courage, strength and determination for all women on International Women’s Day. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Yalçın Bahat said, “In addition to the difficulties, I can see the joy of being a woman and the beauties I create with the subtleties of being a woman in every field. ”
Ocean Regional Manager Hülya Kısaoğlu; “Male dominance in the field, especially in our sector, is a fact that has existed for a long time. Male regional manager positioning is always made for the variability of field conditions. But Ocean fulfilled one of the firsts in this regard. I am proud to be Ocean Brand’s first and one of the few female regional managers in the field.” Professional photographer Betül Çetin said, “As women, we are stronger and richer as long as we can stand side by side”, while Ecem Serin said, “We are all strong, brave and valuable. Let’s support each other to discover our potential and realise our dreams. We women can achieve everything. ”
Our awareness trainings for women will continue!
With the #InspireandEmpower project we have implemented as Ocean Brand, we aim to raise awareness of women not one day but every day. Within the scope of the project, we will organise trainings for women throughout the year under the title of “Trainings Creating Awareness in Women’s Health”. We held the first of our training series on 8 March at the Women’s Health Future Guarantee Symposium, moderated by our Ocean Brand Medical Manager Dr. Feyza Özdemir, with the participation of approximately 300 women.
